The project planned the construction of a new boat pier with a length of 55 m, a width of 6.0 m, a height along the wharf route of +1.5 m, a depth along the wharf route of at least -5.0 m, a width of loading and unloading ramps of 15 m, an area of 330 m2 and area of the manipulative plateau of 2,300 m2 approximately 700 m northwest of the center of Kaprije.

The planned operation will move the existing wharf located in the center of the town, in the zone of shallow sea, to the outer area of Capri, in the zone of greater sea depth. The construction of a new wharf in the port of Kaprije will enable the use of ferries with a larger draft and better maritime capabilities, thus improving the quality of line transport and increasing the safety of navigation on the state ferry line Šibenik - Zlarin - Obonjan - Kaprije - Žirje and the state fast ship line Žirje - Kaprije - Šibenik and enable better connections between the mainland and the islands of the Šibenik archipelago, especially Kaprije and Žirje.
